About the role

The Shopify Developer and E-Commerce Specialist is primarily responsible for managing and optimizing the company's Shopify-based online stores. This role ensures that all digital storefronts are technically sound, user-friendly, aligned with brand standards, and fully integrated with internal systems and third-party tools. The specialist also supports the execution of marketing campaigns, ensures seamless customer journeys, and helps enable omnichannel retail services.

What you'll be doing

  • Work closely with designers to ensure visually appealing and user-friendly storefronts.
  • Maintain consistent branding across the store and related digital assets.

  • Improve UI/UX for smooth navigation and checkout flow.

  • Develop and customise Shopify stores to meet client requirements and enhance the user experience

  • Integrate Shopify with third-party applications and services to streamline e-commerce operations
  • Implement advanced Shopify features, such as custom themes, apps, and API integrations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Shopify stores and e-commerce applications
  • Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to implement effective e-commerce strategies
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify developments and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Shopify development and e-commerce solutions
  • Proficient in Liquid, CSS3, JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, and jQuery
  • Hands-on experience with Shopify theme development, app development, and API integration
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with e-commerce best practices and emerging trends
