Job Summary:

The QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of applications through comprehensive testing processes. This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies and excellent SQL skills to validate data integrity, perform backend testing, and analyze test results from databases. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about delivering high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and/or automated).
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing to ensure software meets requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform database and backend testing using advanced SQL queries to validate data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify requirements and ensure full test coverage.
  • Participate in test reviews, sprint planning, and quality assurance process improvements.
  • Support release cycles by conducting smoke and sanity testing in pre-production and production environments.
  • Provide clear and concise test results and metrics to stakeholders.
