Position Type: 12 Months Contractual

Work Set up:Hybrid

Schedule: Mid-shift (: 1 PM – 10 PM or 3 PM – 12 Midnight)

Salary Package: ₱40,000 – ₱50,000 per month

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Tester to join our client's growing team. In this role, you will start by focusing on manual testing of web and software applications, with a clear path toward transitioning into automation testing in the near future.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about quality assurance who is looking to build a long-term career in both manual and automated testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute manual testing procedures for web and software applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and other software issues using established tools and processes.
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to communicate findings and support issue resolution.
  • Assist in the gradual transition from manual testing to automated testing by learning and using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Create, update, and maintain clear and concise test plans, cases, documentation, and reports.
  • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and team meetings to provide input from a QA perspective.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on manual testing experience in a professional environment.
  • Exposure to or a strong interest in automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.) is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities; experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams is a plus.
  • Willingness to work during US overlap hours (either 1 PM – 10 PM or 3 PM – 12 AM Manila time).
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting or programming for test automation.
