Role Title: Accounting Specialist

Role Description

We are seeking talented and detail-oriented people in finance/accounting to join our team with experience in using any accounting software like QuickBooks or any similar and working with international accounts.

Exposure in New Zealand and Xero System is an advantage. Trainable and easy to adapt. Amenable to working with Philippine holidays, New Zealand holidays follow.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Description:

  • General Accountant plays a central role in maintaining an organization's financial health, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in financial reporting.

  • General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts; manage journal entries and ensure accurate accruals and postings.

  • Payroll Processing oversees the end-to-end process of employee compensation. This includes the accurate and timely computation of wages, deductions, benefits, and tax filings, while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

  • Billing & Collection prepare and issue Statement of Accounts (SOA), sales invoices, and receipts.

Post and reconcile payments, maintaining accurate accounts receivable records.

Send reminders and perform follow-up on overdue payments.

Address billing disputes and customer inquiries in coordination with the finance department.

Complete daily tasks like issuing receipts and preparing cash collection reports.

  • Software & System Management: Use accounting software (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks,MYOB, CIN7) efficiently.
  • Communication & Coordination: Collaborate with the Auckland-based finance team and provide regular financial updates.
  • Timeliness of Financial Reports: Monthly reports submitted within the agreed time frame.
  • Compliance Adherence: 100% compliance
  • Payroll Processing Accuracy: No payroll discrepancies or late salary payments.
  • Audit Compliance Score: No major audit findings or compliance breaches.
  • Effective Coordination: Ensure smooth communication with the Auckland & PH team and adherence to reporting schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related course.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Experience with NZ clients & Xero system.(a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an office-based team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php27,000.00 per month
