About the role

This full-time HR Legal role at Select Goods' in Taguig City, Metro Manila is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to provide strategic and high-quality legal expertise to the company's human resources department. You will be responsible for ensuring the organisation operates in compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, while also supporting the company's commitment to positive employee relations.

What you'll be doing

  • Advising on labour and employment laws, regulations and best practices to ensure the company's HR policies and practices are legally compliant
  • Reviewing and drafting employment contracts, employee handbooks, and other HR-related legal documents
  • Providing guidance on terminations, disciplinary actions, and other complex employee relations matters
  • Representing the company in labour-related disputes and litigation
  • Staying up-to-date on changes in employment legislation and communicating their impact to the HR team
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to support the company's HR initiatives and objectives

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years' experience as an HR legal specialist or in-house legal counsel, with a focus on employment law
  • Thorough understanding of local labour laws, regulations and best practices
  • Excellent legal research, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively advise and collaborate with HR and business stakeholders
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach to providing pragmatic legal guidance
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work independently in a fast-paced environment
