The opportunity

Join the dynamic team at Select Goods' as an HR Legal professional. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal guidance and support to the company's human resources department, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the organization's people practices and contributing to its continued success.

Key responsibilities

  • Advise on all legal matters related to employment, labour relations, and human resource management
  • Review and draft employment contracts, policies, and procedures to safeguard the company's interests
  • Provide guidance on employee disciplinary actions, terminations, and dispute resolution
  • Ensure the company's compliance with applicable labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and mediation related to employment matters
  • Contribute to the development of training programs for managers and employees on HR-related legal topics

What we're looking for

  • Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree with a focus on labour and employment law
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in an HR legal or employment law role, preferably within the industrial goods industry
  • Thorough understanding of Philippine employment laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide pragmatic, commercially-focused legal advice
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in legal research, contract drafting, and dispute resolution
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct
