Job description:

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of Strategic Plans outlined by the Management
  • Establish, document and maintain Maritime Simulator and Training Centre of the Philippines, Inc. QMS through the QMR
  • Academic Management, Course Design, Development, post training assessment and certification in conjunction with the Head of Departments (HOD)
  • Oversee the Design, Development, Delivery, Review and Updating/Modification of courses as required by Maritime Simulator and Training Centre of the Philippines, Inc.
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and audits.
  • Deliver in-person and online training courses for seafarers and maritime personnel.
  • Evaluate participant performance through tests, simulations, and practical exercises.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate instructors and training staff.
  • Coordinate recruitment and continuous professional development (CPD) of trainers.
  • Assign instructors to training programs based on expertise and availability.
  • Liaise with maritime authorities, shipping companies, classification societies, and auditors.
  • Represent the center in seminars, workshops, and maritime forums.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Chief Engineer is preferred.
  • Preferably with exp. in Tanker vessel as C/E
  • Must be holder of a Certificate of Completion of IMO Model Courses 6.09, 3.12 & 6.10)
  • Prior experience in maritime training, consultancy, or education highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with STCW, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM Code, and related maritime conventions.
  • Knowledge of training accreditation processes is a plus.
