The Technical Officer provides critical technical and administrative support to the Engineering Manager in the operation and maintenance of building systems (MEPFS) and infrastructure.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Engineering Manager in monitoring preventive maintenance (PM) activities for all building systems (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, elevators).

  • Conduct regular inspections of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems (MEPFS) systems to verify operational efficiency.

  • Document and escalate any non-conformance, potential hazards, or abnormal findings observed during site rounds.

  • Assist Engineering Manager and Building Management Office with tenants for engineering-related concerns, technical access, and scheduled shutdowns.

  • Support the implementation of safety protocols and ensure that all technical works are in compliance with building safety standards.

  • Support minor projects or fit-out inspections as delegated by the Engineering Manager.

  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing of reports, updating logs, and responding to internal and external technical inquiries.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Electronic Engineering, or any engineering-related course

  • Licensed Engineer

  • At least 3 years of experience in building operations or facilities maintenance, preferably in a commercial building setting

  • Managed at least one building for more than a year or served as technical support engineer for more than a year.
