The Teller/Cashier is responsible for preparing billing statements, collecting payments, monitoring daily collections, and ensuring accurate posting of receipts. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with accounting systems and financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare billing statements for clients on account.
  • Collect payments from clients (cash or check) and reconcile them with the corresponding Bill of Lading (BL).
  • Post Official Receipts (OR) and Acknowledgment Receipts (AR) accurately into the system.
  • Ensure that all charges in the BL match the actual collections and liquidation reports.
  • Monitor and report on all cash/check collections in the Manila office.
  • Coordinate with other branch counterparts regarding rates, collections, and other financial matters.
  • Generate and submit reports including:
  • Status of Billing Statements for Clients on Account
  • Daily Collection Reports
  • Liquidation Reports per Voyage

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 4-year course; preferably in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • At least 1 year of experience in cashiering or related financial roles.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and billing processes.
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and skilled in financial reporting.
  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general MS Office applications.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets and financial systems is an advantage.
  • Trustworthy, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
