The Senior AR Associate will oversee and manage the collection process for assigned accounts, ensuring timely payments and accurate financial records. You will be responsible for preparing and reconciling Statements of Accounts (SOA), maintaining AR records, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve any discrepancies. This role involves active communication with clients and vendors to ensure payments are processed and posted efficiently.

Overview of the role

  • Monitor the aging of accounts assigned.
  • Ensures monthly collection target are reached.
  • Prepare SOA for each client with outstanding accounts.
  • Proactively manage and follow up on outstanding payments from clients through both email and phone communications.
  • Resolve payment issues promptly and professionally to maintain positive client relationships and ensure timely payments.
  • Maintain updated status remarks in AR Aging Summary for accounts handled.
  • Conduct thorough reconciliations of designated accounts as necessary due to: o Variances in payments received either overpayment or short payment
  • Incorrect invoice paid
  • Paid invoices but not posted in the system
  • Coordinate with Billing Team regarding concerns raised by clients on invoices indicated in the SOA such as lack of supporting docs such as Certificate of Completion, proof execution, CE charging etc.
  • Accurately and efficiently post collections into the financial system, handling approximately 100 to 150 items.
  • Collection / vouching of 2307 on a Quarterly basis.
  • Prepare Monthly OR Summary for all entities.
  • Prepare Bi-Monthly Collection Summary to be provided to other departments for pass-through accounts.
  • Check daily collection recording, ensuring temporary staff accurately logs collections and maintains scanned copies of ORs and ARs.
  • Meets with clients, agency CS and media team as needed.
  • Temporarily assist in the preparation of modified ORs/Service Invoice for billings raised by the Billing Team to comply with the EOPT Law.
  • Handle & manage the Vendor & Supplier accreditation process.

Job Qualifications:

  • Willing to work on a hybrid setup (4 days onsite and 1 day work from home) B
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or any accounting related field (required)
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in AR & Collections, preferably in the advertising industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
