Accounts Receivable Associate

The Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for assisting with the daily collection effort to improve the firm's cash flow and manage credit risk, as well as resolving client invoice or account inquiries. Duties include assisting with emails or making collection calls, sending invoice copies, statements, and collection letters. The Accounts Receivable Associate would also be expected to assist with the timely application of cash receipts from customer payments against outstanding invoices.

Responsibilities:


• Process high volume of incoming payment transactions timely and accurately daily, including check, ACH, wire, and credit card payments.


• Actively follow up on overdue accounts and coordinate internally across departments to resolve payment issues.


• Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on payment.


• Leveraging strong analytical skills to identify, investigate, and rectify internal or external payment questions or issues related to payment within 24 hours of receiving the request.


• Accurate and timely assistance with completion of client vendor forms.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and client records, reconciling any inconsistencies or errors, and escalating to Accounts Receivable Manager when appropriate.


• Collaborate within Accounts Receivable team in researching unapplied cash amounts so that unapplied cash is kept to a minimum and payment processing is streamlined.


• Support DSO and cash collection targets.


• Any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization's core values

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's Degree


• At least 2 years of relevant work experience within an accounting environment, multinational experience a plus.


• Proficiency in English using various communication methods (electronic and verbal); ability to communicate clearly and concisely across organizational levels


• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Collections processes.


• Strong customer service skills, with a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations.


• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile accounting records and resolve payment issues.


• Ability to effectively work in fast-paced environment both independently and as part of a larger team.


• High degree of accuracy, timeliness and attention to detail with processing forms.


• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Experience with Smartsheet and Intacct, or similar ERP a plus.
