Sourcing Supervisor
in a BPO environment is responsible for
overseeing the daily execution of high-volume candidate sourcing operations
. This role acts as the
front-line leader
for the sourcing team, ensuring that established strategies are implemented effectively, pipelines are consistently maintained, and daily/weekly recruitment targets are met. They focus on tactical execution, team guidance, quality control, and ensuring a high-quality candidate flow for various BPO positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Sourcing Operations Management:
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Sourcing Specialists, including assigning daily targets, monitoring activity levels (e.g., calls, contacts, screens), and ensuring efficient use of sourcing tools and resources. - Pipeline Generation and Maintenance:
Directly manage and guide the team in building and maintaining robust, quality-driven candidate pipelines for immediate and anticipated high-volume requirements (e.g., Customer Service Representatives, Technical Support Agents). - Training and Coaching:
Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance feedback, and training for Sourcing Specialists on effective search techniques, Boolean logic, cold calling, candidate engagement scripts, and system usage (ATS/CRM). - Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track, analyze, and report on individual and team sourcing metrics (e.g., volume, quality, conversion rates, time-to-source) to the Sourcing Manager, identifying bottlenecks and proposing corrective actions. - Quality Control:
Ensure the quality and accuracy of sourced candidates, making certain they meet minimum role qualifications before being handed off to Recruiters for the interview stage. - Sourcing Channel Optimization:
Actively participate in evaluating the effectiveness of different sourcing channels (job fairs, social media, referrals) and suggesting practical improvements to boost ROI and reach. - Compliance and Candidate Experience:
Ensure the team follows all compliance guidelines during the initial screening process. Uphold a professional and positive initial candidate experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., HR, Business, Communications) is preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of
2+ years of hands-on experience in high-volume talent sourcing or recruiting
, with at least
1 year in a supervisory, team lead, or senior sourcing role
within the BPO industry. - Technical Proficiency:
Strong, practical experience using ATS/CRM systems (e.g., Taleo, Workday, Greenhouse) and advanced proficiency in sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, X-raying, and utilizing professional networking sites.

A strong focus on operational efficiency, process adherence, and metric-based performance management.
