Job Summary:

The Database Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of company databases. This role ensures optimal database performance, data integrity, and availability to support business operations and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade database servers and related applications.
  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning solutions to optimize efficiency.
  • Manage database security, access, and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patch management.
  • Design and implement database structures, schemas, and user roles.
  • Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide technical support to development and operations teams.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in database systems such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
  • Proficiency in database performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security.
  • With experience in goldengate.
