As a Database Administrator, you will play a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's database systems. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient, secure, and reliable operation of databases across various platforms. You will work closely with the IT and development teams to implement database solutions that support the organization's business goals, maintain data integrity, and optimize database performance.

Job Description:

● Database Design, Development, and Maintenance

○ Design, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

○ Develop, test, and deploy database objects to support application and system needs.

○ Create actionable plans and implement solutions for routine database maintenance.

○ Develop strategies and solutions for maintaining database servers.

○ Design and execute plans for the development and enhancement of database functions.

○ Provide recommendations and propose optimizations for data architecture to support future products and data-driven initiatives.

● Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting

○ Improve database performance.

○ Debug reported issues by QA and/or customers.

○ Formulate action plans and solutions for 'databases' troubleshooting on incidents and problems.

○ Perform similar duties aligned with the proper execution of roles and responsibilities assigned.

● Team Collaboration and Leadership

○ Reports to Data Management Lead.

○ Participate during sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, and sprint review.

○ Ensure team members' performance and outcome meet a defined schedule and quality.

○ Enhance team's performance and technological level.

○ Ensure the team can process incidents and problems within OLA/SLA.

○ Control developing progress to meet OLA/SLA or project goals.

○ Ensure end-to-end service quality can meet the defined OLA/SLA.

● Incident and Problem Management

○ Provided 24/7 support through shifting schedules or on-call as business needs were determined by management.

○ Ensure the team can process incidents and problems within OLA/SLA.

Minimum qualifications:

● Database and Data Engineering Expertise

○ Expertise in databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and data engineering best practices.

○ Working experience in OLTP or OLAP data modeling and designing data storage.

○ SQL and other programming languages (e.g. Java, PHP, Oracle).

○ With 3 years of actual developing experience with 1 of the following databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.

○ With 3 years of actual experience with RDS on cloud services: Aliyun, AWS, GCP.

● Problem-solving and Analytical Skills

○ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

○ Have problem analysis and resolution capabilities for troubleshooting and debugging.

○ Data Quality Management.

● Self-motivation and Team Collaboration

○ Must be self-motivated and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

○ A good team player who is willing to learn.

○ Have independent thinking.

● Cloud and Database Experience

○ With 3 years of actual experience with RDS on cloud services: Aliyun, AWS, GCP.

● Willing to work on-site

Pay: Php60, Php75,000.00 per month
