Office Administrator Duties and Responsibilities
Office Administrators play a key role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of an office are running smoothly.
They carry out various administrative tasks and support the management team.
Office Administrators often have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Organizing and maintaining files and records to ensure they are easily accessible
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial reports
- Answering and directing phone calls to appropriate staff members
- Scheduling appointments and meetings for executives and upper level staff
- Serving as the point of contact for all employees, providing administrative support and managing their queries
- Maintaining a clean and organized office environment
- Assisting in the planning and execution of office events and meetings
- Managing office layout and making necessary changes to accommodate staff needs
- Preparing budget proposals and financial reports
- Coordinating with other administrators, elected officials, and community members
- Handling public relations, including addressing public concerns and feedback
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software
- Qualifications in secretarial studies will be an advantage
- BSc/BA in office administration or relevant field is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
