The Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety engineering systems and procedures to ensure the health and safety of all project personnel. This role combines technical engineering knowledge with safety management expertise to prevent accidents, minimize risks, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop safety plans, engineering controls, and risk assessments for construction activities.
  • Conduct hazard analysis and design preventive measures to eliminate or control risks.
  • Oversee implementation of safety protocols, equipment, and engineering solutions.
  • Work closely with project engineers to integrate safety requirements into designs and construction methods.
  • Conduct site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with DOLE, BWC, and other regulatory safety standards.
  • Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and develop preventive action plans.
  • Maintain and update safety documentation, permits, and compliance reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • PRC-licensed Engineer preferred.
  • Must have BOSH, COSH, or other DOLE-accredited safety certifications.
  • At least 2 years of experience in safety engineering, preferably in construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering safety principles and occupational safety regulations.
  • Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with safety management systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Willing to work on-site in Bacoor, Cavite.
  • Can commit to a 6-month project-based engagement.
  • Physically fit to conduct field inspections and safety assessments.
