As Envirocycle's Project Engineer, your primary role is to plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring effective coordination with cross-functional teams such as design, procurement, and construction. This includes managing project budgets, timelines, and resources while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, as well as communicating project status to stakeholders and preparing comprehensive reports to keep everyone informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Planning

  • Define project scope, goals, and objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resources, and budgets.
  • Identify and assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Resource Management

  • Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure resource availability.
  • Monitor resource utilization to optimize efficiency.

Execution and Implementation

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the project.
  • Ensure that project tasks are completed according to the project plan.
  • Foster collaboration among team members and stakeholders.

Monitoring and Controlling

  • Track project progress against timelines and budgets.
  • Use performance metrics to assess project health.
  • Implement corrective actions when necessary to keep the project on track.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, including team members, clients, and executives.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and changes.
  • Facilitate meetings and discussions to address concerns and gather feedback.

Quality Management

  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Implement quality control and assurance processes.
  • Address quality issues as they arise to maintain project integrity.

Risk Management

  • Continuously identify, analyze, and respond to project risks.
  • Develop risk management plans and update them as necessary.
  • Communicate risks to stakeholders and adjust strategies accordingly.

Closing and Evaluation

  • Finalize all project activities, ensuring all deliverables are completed.
  • Conduct project evaluations to assess what went well and what could be improved.
  • Document lessons learned and shares knowledge for future projects.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) or a related field.
  • With at least 3-5 years' relevant experience in project engineering or management
  • In-depth understanding of engineering principles and practices, with the ability to read and create detailed plans and designs.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma, Lean Management, BOSH/ COSH) are a plus.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD, facilitating effective data analysis, documentation, and design work.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost estimation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
