project engineer lead

Candidate must possess the following;

I. Educational Background & Professional Licensing

· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from a reputable college or university

· Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer (RME) or Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE).

II.  Work Experience

· Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in project engineering, project management, or a similar role.

· Demonstrable experience in handling projects within a manufacturing environment is highly preferred, particularly in the food and beverage sector.

· Proven track record of successfully managing projects involving:

o Mechanical Systems: Installation, commissioning, and optimization of processing equipment, packaging machinery, utilities (HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors), pumping systems, and piping (including sanitary/direct food contact lines).

o Electrical Systems: Power distribution, motor controls, instrumentation, PLC/SCADA systems, lighting, and electrical safety systems.

o Civil Works: Minor building renovations, structural modifications, facility upgrades, drainage systems, and site development.

III.  Technical Skills & Knowledge

· Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering principles as applied in industrial settings.

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, architectural plans).

· Knowledge of relevant Philippine building codes, electrical codes (PEC), and safety standards (e.g., DOLE OSHS).

· Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO is a significant advantage.

· Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) for reviewing and sometimes modifying designs.

· Basic knowledge of automation and control systems is a plus.

· Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve technical issues across multiple disciplines.

IV. Project Management Skills

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

· Experience in project planning, scheduling, cost estimation, and budget control.

· Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project)

· Strong risk management capabilities, including identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.

· Experience in conducting feasibility studies and preparing project proposals.

· Ability to prepare comprehensive project documentation, reports, and presentations.

V. Soft Skills & Attributes

· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders (production, maintenance, quality, finance), external contractors, and suppliers.

· Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities to guide project teams and work effectively in a cross-functional environment.

· Problem-solving aptitude with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of project work.

· Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

· High level of integrity and professional ethics.

· Willingness to work extended hours or during weekends/holidays when project demands require.
