I. JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing Supervisor / Head is responsible for overseeing the company's overall procurement activities. This includes sourcing, canvassing, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of quality materials, and maintaining cost efficiency. The role ensures that purchasing policies are strictly implemented, and supports the organization's operational needs, especially for construction-related requirements.


II. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and supervise the purchasing team in daily procurement activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor purchasing schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best value for the company.
  • Review and approve Purchase Orders, canvass sheets, and supplier contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the warehouse and project sites.
  • Coordinate closely with project teams to understand material requirements and timelines.
  • Maintain updated supplier database and develop alternative sources to prevent supply disruptions.
  • Prepare regular purchasing reports and cost analyses for management.
  • Supervise the performance and training of purchasing staff.
  • Uphold integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all transactions.

III. QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or any related course.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain, preferably in the construction industry.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

  • Familiar with construction materials, equipment, and suppliers

  • Other Requirements:

  • With valid NBI clearance

  • Christian preferred (values integrity, honesty, and accountability)
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Can work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
