About the role

As the Purchasing Head at Circle Square Builders Inc', you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and inventory management activities for this leading construction firm based in Quezon City, Metro Manila. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services to support the company's construction projects.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimise costs, lead times and quality of supplies
  2. Manage the procurement process, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and monitoring performance
  3. Oversee the maintenance of inventory levels and the timely replenishment of materials
  4. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to forecast and plan material requirements
  5. Analyse purchasing data and trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  6. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements related to purchasing
  7. Lead and mentor the purchasing team, providing guidance and support to drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience (8+ years) in purchasing, procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction industry
  2. Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise purchasing processes and inventory management
  4. Proficient in using procurement software and data analysis tools
  5. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with a collaborative and customer-focused approach
  6. Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
