Design Architect

The Design Architect is responsible for leading the planning, design, and oversight of architectural projects from conceptualization to completion. They ensure that designs align with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and company standards. This role requires strong leadership, creative problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of architecture, construction methodologies, and project management.

Job Qualifications

  • A Bachelor degree in Architecture (Professional Licensed)
  • Minimum of 3 years and above experience in Architectural Design and Design Management
  • Excellent Communication skills with ability to engage with staff at all levels as well as with clients.
  • Proficiency in design and drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Twin motion, etc.)
  • Strong leadership skills and a team player
  • Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills
  • Handled large scale of projects, good design sense and detailing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience with project costing and value engineering

Job Functions / Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership

  2. Lead the design and development of architectural projects

  3. Oversee design documentation from concept through construction
  4. Ensure design integrity, quality, and consistency across all projects

  5. Team Management

  6. Supervise and mentor junior architects and design staff

  7. Review and approve drawings, details, and design revisions

  8. Provide technical guidance to team members

  9. Client Coordination

  10. Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives

  11. Conduct presentations and design meetings

  12. Ensure client satisfaction and address design-related concerns

  13. Cross-Disciplinary Coordination

  14. Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors

  15. Ensure architectural compatibility with structural, MEP, and civil disciplines

  16. Compliance and Standards

  17. Ensure projects comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and safety standards

  18. Implement design best practices and sustainable principles

  19. Project Administration

  20. Review bids, RFIs, and change orders as needed

  21. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress
