Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Housekeeping Team Leader to oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations and ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met across all assigned areas. The successful candidate will supervise a team of housekeeping staff, provide training and support, and coordinate daily activities to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed effectively and on schedule.

  • Assign daily duties and monitor performance of housekeeping team members.

  • Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities to ensure standards are met.

  • Provide training, guidance, and feedback to housekeeping personnel on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.

  • Report maintenance issues, supply shortages, and equipment concerns to management.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and enforce cleanliness protocols.

  • Assist with cleaning tasks during peak times or in the absence of staff.

  • Maintain inventory and assist in ordering cleaning supplies and materials.

  • Prepare shift reports and contribute to scheduling and manpower planning.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality or housekeeping is an advantage.

  • At least 2–3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team lead role.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.

  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in hotels, hospitals, cruise ships, or large facilities.

  • Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals and cleaning equipment.

  • Basic computer skills and experience with housekeeping management systems.
