Job Description: Housekeeping Attendant

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role ensures that all assigned areas meet the organization's cleanliness standards, providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean, organize, and replenish guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas.
  • Change bed linens, replace towels, and restock amenities.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as required.
  • Ensure proper use of cleaning supplies, tools, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues or damages to the supervisor promptly.
  • Follow safety, sanitation, and security procedures at all times.
  • Assist in laundry operations if required.
  • Handle guest requests courteously and efficiently.
  • Uphold the company's service standards and contribute to overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Education: At least High School graduate (Vocational training in housekeeping is an advantage).
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in hotels, resorts, or related establishments is preferred but not always required.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to detail and strong sense of cleanliness.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and long periods of standing/walking.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
