Building & Facility Officer (BYD Baliuag)

The Building & Facility Officer is responsible for supporting the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of building facilities, with a strong focus on electrical systems and general facility upkeep. This role ensures that all building systems function safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory standards. The officer will carry out routine inspections, assist in troubleshooting, coordinate with contractors, and support preventive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities1. Electrical Systems Support
- Assist in the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, control panels, and emergency power systems (UPS/generator).
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues under supervision.
- Perform routine electrical inspections to ensure safe and reliable system performance.
- Support preventive maintenance tasks such as checking cables, breakers, switches, lighting, and electrical equipment.
- Assist in coordinating testing and safety checks of electrical systems.
2. Facility Maintenance & Operations
- Carry out daily facility inspections for cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition.
- Support maintenance activities for building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical equipment.
- Respond to facility-related requests and issues from building occupants.
- Ensure all facility areas (common areas, technical rooms, utilities, etc.) are properly maintained.
- Monitor the performance of building systems and report abnormalities to the Building & Facility Manager.
3. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Assist in supervising contractors performing electrical repairs, facility services, or maintenance work.
- Ensure work quality and compliance with safety standards during outsourced jobs.
- Prepare inspection checklists and verify completed works before approval.
4. Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Follow and enforce electrical and facility safety procedures.
- Assist in compliance checks for building and electrical systems based on local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, electrical logs, and facility documentation.
- Support internal and external audits related to building safety and technical operations.
5. Inventory & Asset Support
- Monitor and manage stock of electrical spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Assist in tracking asset usage, equipment conditions, and maintenance schedules.
- Report equipment failures or parts that require replacement.
6. General Administrative & Team Support
- Provide daily support to the Building & Facility Manager and maintenance team.
- Assist in preparing reports, maintenance schedules, and checklists.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding facility-related needs or tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Facility Management, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in building maintenance or electrical work (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, building operations, and maintenance procedures.
- Understanding of safety practices and local regulatory requirements.
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform hands-on technical work and respond to emergencies.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20, Php27,000.00 per month
