About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support a CPA team with administrative, accounting, and audit-related tasks. This role supports government and nonprofit accounting engagements and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
This is a remote position supporting U.S.-based CPAs with auditing, financial reporting, and client service functions.

Responsibilities
- Assist with auditing and financial reporting tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and reconciliations
- Support government and nonprofit audits by preparing schedules, compliance documentation, and audit reports
- Prepare, format, and organize financial statements, spreadsheets, and audit workpapers
- Maintain accurate client records and handle sensitive financial data with strict confidentiality
- Support CPA staff with email management, calendar coordination, and client communications
- Track deadlines and deliverables related to audits, tax filings, and client reporting
- Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial information
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Virtual Assistant, Accounting Assistant, or Audit Support staff preferred
- Experience supporting government or nonprofit accounting engagements
- Proficiency with accounting and reporting tools such as QuickBooks, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential financial information responsibly
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote environment
Required VA Skillset (Must Have)
Candidates must have the following to succeed in this role:
- Experience supporting accounting, audit, or financial reporting functions
- Working knowledge of government or nonprofit accounting principles
- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including formatting and basic formulas
- Experience organizing audit documentation, schedules, and financial records
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to meet deadlines and follow structured processes
- Professional written communication skills
- Understanding of confidentiality and data security standards
