Accounting Manager

Job Title: Accounting ManagerLocation: CarmonaReports To: Head of FinanceDepartment: Finance & AccountingJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting functions across a group of companies engaged in bus manufacturing. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, manage intercompany transactions, oversee compliance, and support strategic decision-making across multiple entities in the group.

Key Responsibilities:Group Financial ManagementOversee the consolidated financial statements and monthly close process for all group entities. Ensure consistency of accounting policies across the group and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Lead the preparation and coordination of group audits (internal and external).

Manufacturing & Cost AccountingSupervise cost accounting processes, including BOM costing, WIP analysis, overhead absorption, and inventory valuation. Work closely with the production and operations team to ensure accurate tracking of materials, labor, and overhead costs.Intercompany AccountingManage intercompany billing, reconciliations, and eliminations for group consolidation. Develop and implement efficient processes for intercompany loans, transactions, and transfer pricing documentation.

Budgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisLead the annual budgeting process for all companies and provide rolling forecasts. Provide variance analysis (budget vs. actual) and financial insights to management for better decision-making. Taxation & ComplianceEnsure compliance with local tax regulations including VAT, withholding taxes, and corporate income taxes.

Team Management & Process ImprovementSupervise and develop a team of accountants across group companies. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with internal financial policies and SOPs.

Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CA preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory control, and group consolidation.

Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Attributes:Experience working in a multi-company or group structure.

Hands-on experience with ERP implementation or process automation. Strong leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
