  • Ensures inspection and conformance of incoming materials, in-process and finished products to food safety and quality standards.
  • Ensures that food safety and sanitation systems are maintained in accordance with cGMP, SSOP, HACCP and other guidelines.
  • Conducts periodic inspection of facilities, equipment, practices, etc. Works mostly in the production sections verifying quality control, safety procedures and monitoring that food documentations are being followed, problem solving as relates to food safety issues, and assisting with compliance of cGMP or HACCP

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the evaluation of incoming materials, in-process and finished product inspection
  • Evaluation of on-hold, conditional and rejected products
  • Investigates causes of rejections and quality issues
  • Product Feedback/ Complaint investigation
  • Leads and ensures compliance and monitoring of all GMP/SSOP standards like personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitization, pest control, tools and equipment, process control, water, building and grounds
  • Conducts monthly GMP compliance audit
  • Meets audited departments to discuss findings and necessary corrective actions
  • Ensure standard preparation and use of cleaning chemicals
  • Equipment calibration
  • Area and Cold storage monitoring
  • May participate in supplier meetings as instructed by the QA Manager
  • Assist in the review and updating of Food Safely Manual (GMP/SSOP Manual/Cleaning Manual & Etc.)
  • Performance of other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of BS Food Technology, Food Science, Meat Science, Chemistry, Biology and Nutrition or any related field.
  • Proven experience in meat cutting/meat processing production, QA or R&D
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in food processing product
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Knowledge in GMP/SSOP/HACCP
  • Auditing
  • Great attention to detail and a results driven approach
  • Laboratory testing/Food analysis
  • Trouble – shooting/Problem Solving
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Reliable and Trustworthy
  • Willing to be assign in Umapad Mandaue, Cebu
