Official role title: Collections Officer

We are looking for a results-driven Collections Officer to join our growing team supporting an Australian client. This role focuses on managing overdue unsecured loan accounts with a strong commitment to service excellence and customer care.

About the Role:

As a Collections Officer, you'll handle daily collections tasks and work directly with customers to resolve overdue accounts with professionalism and empathy. You'll identify hardship cases, recommend write-offs when needed, and follow set recovery processes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage day-to-day collections of overdue unsecured loan accounts.
  • Apply effective debt recovery strategies to meet performance targets.
  • Assess accounts and prepare recommendations for potential write-offs.
  • Identify customers experiencing financial difficulty and offer appropriate hardship support.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and follow-ups in line with internal policies and procedures.

About You

  • 4–5 years of collections experience, preferably in unsecured loans and with an Australian client.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Strong customer focus with a commitment to service excellence.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive situations professionally.
  • Familiarity with skip tracing techniques is an advantage; training can be provided.
