Job Description:

DNV is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Manila. This role supporting solar and/or onshore wind farm development projects across the Philippines and the region. You will work closely with both the local and regional teams to provide technical advisory and construction monitoring services for renewable energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advisory services for all civil elements of solar and offshore wind projects.

  • Review civil design and construction documentation including drawings, specifications, and calculations.

  • Conduct site inspections and construction monitoring to assess compliance with standards, specifications, and safety requirements.

  • Prepare and deliver technical reports and presentations for internal and client discussions.

  • Review documentation such as QA/QC plans, inspection reports, and test documentation.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including process optimization and tool development.

  • Support project management efforts, including client communication, documentation tracking, and reporting.

  • Contribute to due diligence and lender's technical advisory (LTA) engagements.

  • Assist in business development efforts and support clients through project financial closings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally in onshore/offshore wind, solar, or renewable energy infrastructure.

  • Proven experience in civil design and construction for roads, hardstands, foundations, or similar works.

  • Familiarity with local civil codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Experience in technical reviews, reporting, and site inspection.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills:

  • Offshore construction monitoring experience is an advantage.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.

Other Requirements:

  • Open to acquiring necessary offshore safety training (e.g., GWO certification).

  • Ability to work in various terrain and weather conditions.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 15%).
