Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate and supervise civil & marine construction activities including dredging, pile driving and concrete placement.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contracts to ensure compliance with design and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and document work progress, prepare reports, coordinate resources (labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors).
  • Ensure safe work practices, enforce PPE usage, and promote environmental & maritime regulation compliance.
  • Inspect completed works (marine structures, dock floats, repairs), identify deficiencies and propose corrective actions.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering or related discipline with 3-5 years' heavy civil or marine construction experience (marine infrastructure preferred).
  • Familiarity with marine construction methods (dredging, piling, cofferdams, sea-walls, floating structures) and capability to interpret structural/marine drawings and geotechnical conditions.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (marine environment, maritime safety, marine construction codes).
  • Strong organizational, communication and coordination skills; problem-solving and decision-making ability on-site; comfortable working outdoors in marine/port environments.
  • Valid driver's license (if required), willingness to travel to site; preferred experience with offshore/near-shore works and marine-operations certifications.

Working Conditions
  • Day-shift operations in a marine/port site: exposure to sun, wind, waves, salt-water, heavy equipment, vessels and floating platforms.
  • Frequent field visits, site supervision, walking docks/vessels, climbing structures and navigating uneven terrain.
  • Collaborate with field crews, subcontractors and marine operations teams; use of PPE (helmet, safety boots, life-vest, etc.).
  • Occasional requirement for extended hours when project demands intensify.
