Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong background in Philippine taxation to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax filings, ensuring compliance with BIR regulations, and supporting strategic tax planning initiatives. This role requires a thorough understanding of local tax laws and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, EWT, Income Tax, 1701/1702, 2550M/Q, 1601C/E/F, etc.) with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
  • Ensure compliance with all Philippine tax laws and regulations, including filing deadlines and updates to revenue regulations.
  • Handle tax payments, eFPS/eBIRForms submissions, and reconciliation of tax accounts.
  • Monitor tax compliance and address any discrepancies or findings during BIR audits or assessments.
  • Provide support in BIR audits, LOA responses, and liaise with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist with tax planning strategies to reduce tax liabilities within the bounds of local laws.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of tax rulings, memorandums, and circulars issued by the BIR or DOF.
  • Prepare supporting schedules, documentation, and reconciliations for tax returns and audits.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions.
  • Assist in general accounting tasks such as financial statement preparation, if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least 2–4 years of experience in taxation or general accounting, preferably within a corporate or public accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax codes and BIR procedures.
  • Experience using accounting and tax software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, eBIRForms, Relief, Alphalist Data Entry).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under minimal supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php45, Php65,000.00 per month
