Job Description

The ER Nursing Aide assists nurses and medical staff in providing safe, efficient, and timely care to emergency patients. The role supports patient handling, basic care, and maintains a clean and organized ER environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and basic care in the ER.
  • Prepare and restock emergency supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control in the ER.
  • Assist nurses and physicians in minor procedures and emergency interventions.
  • Monitor and report patient status changes to the assigned nurse.
  • Dispose of medical waste according to hospital protocols.
  • Support efficient workflow and patient safety in a fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

  • At least High School Graduate or Senior High School Graduate
  • Preferably with NC II – Healthcare Services (advantageous but not required)
  • Experience in hospital or clinical setting is an advantage
  • Physically fit and able to assist in patient handling
  • Knowledge of basic patient care and infection control
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Able to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable, service-oriented, and able to work under supervision
