About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to join our Affinity Marketing team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and proactive negotiator who thrives on building partnerships and driving growth. The position plays a vital role in expanding our distribution network through new affinity partnerships and optimizing existing relationships to achieve premium volume targets.
Business Development (60%)
Identify and target potential affinity partners aligned with business goals.
Schedule and conduct presentations with key decision-makers.
Lead negotiations and secure distribution agreements with new partners.
Oversee the drafting and execution of Memorandum of Agreements.
Successfully close new business accounts.
Create and implement a comprehensive distribution strategy with new partners.
Collaborate on the development and alignment of new insurance products suited for distribution.
Map out end-to-end operational processes across sales, policy management, billing, customer service, and claims.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders for a successful product launch.
Analyze program performance and recommend enhancements for future campaigns.
Monitor production metrics to maximize results from existing partners.
Execute action plans to meet financial and distribution goals.
Generate and maintain regular reporting for management and stakeholders.
Work closely with department leadership to shape the long-term growth strategy for the unit.
Contribute to the design and deployment of cross-sell, upsell, and bundled product solutions.
Liaise with teams across Underwriting, Actuarial, and Product Development.
Take on additional tasks as needed to support broader team goals.
Education & Skills
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business Management or a related field.
Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills.
Highly analytical with attention to detail.
Adaptable, self-driven, and able to manage pressure and challenges with a positive attitude.
Strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Experience
Minimum of 3 years of solid experience in business development.
Experience in project management is a plus.
