JOB SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Management Head/Manager will oversee and manage the company's supply chain and logistics strategy and operations to maximize efficiency and productivity. This role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy to maximize efficiency and productivity, especially focusing on the export and import operations of agricultural products.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply chain management, logistics, and a deep understanding of international trade regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Management:

· Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient operations and cost-effectiveness.

· Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.

· Align supply chain strategy with business goals and objectives to support growth and profitability.

1. Demand Planning:

· Develop and implement effective demand planning processes to accurately forecast customer demand.

· Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment on demand forecasts and inventory levels.

· Use advanced forecasting tools and techniques to improve accuracy and responsiveness.

3. Procurement:

· Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-efficiency, and reliability.

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

· Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.

4. Export and Import Operations:

· Manage and optimize international logistics operations, ensuring compliance with global trade regulations.

· Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and regulatory agencies to streamline import/export processes.

· Ensure all agricultural products meet international standards and certifications required for export/import.

5. Shipping and Logistics:

· Oversee transportation logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

· Develop and maintain distribution networks to support global operations in the future.

· Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and distribution efficiency.

6. Warehouse and Inventory Management:

· Oversee inventory management processes, including forecasting, ordering, and stock control.

· Optimize warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, handling, and distribution of products.

· Implement best practices for inventory accuracy and reduction of waste/spoilage.

1. Fleet Management and Maintenance:

· Manage the company's fleet of vehicles to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation.

· Develop and implement maintenance schedules and protocols to maximize fleet uptime and lifespan.

· Monitor fleet performance and implement improvements as needed.

1. Team Leadership and Development:

· Lead, mentor, and develop the supply chain team to achieve departmental goals.

· Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the team.

· Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans for team members.

1. Risk Management and Compliance:

· Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to supply chain operations.

· Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

10. Technology and Innovation:

· Leverage technology and digital tools to enhance supply chain efficiency and visibility.

· Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to implement best practices and new technologies.

· Drive initiatives for process automation and optimization.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

· Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

· Extensive experience in managing export and import operations, particularly in the agricultural sector.

· Strong knowledge of global trade regulations, customs processes, and international logistics.

· Proven track record of optimizing supply chain processes and reducing costs.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
