Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist the Chief Accountant with financial operations, maintain accurate record-keeping, and ensure timely and efficient financial reporting and payments.

• 1975: The acquisition of MT Philippine Sea marked a turning point in our history, enabling us to execute large-scale salvage operations. With 31 major salvage projects completed, including tug assistance and wreck removal, we quickly earned a reputation for reliability and excellence.
• 1991: Recognizing the growing demands of the oil drilling sector, Unisalv strategically acquired MT Sulu Venture, an offshore support tug. This move enabled us to penetrate the oil and gas market, offering spot charter services throughout the ASEAN region and securing a long-term charter with a leading exploration company in the Philippines, a partnership that continues to this day.
• 1998: To further enhance our capabilities in the oil drilling industry, our sister company acquired MT China Venture, which we managed. Operating across the Far East for 17 years, this vessel significantly contributed to our expertise and growth in the sector.
• 2009: We took on the management and maintenance of a Search and Rescue boat in Busuanga, Palawan, Philippines, dedicated to the Malampaya Gas Field. This contract highlights our unwavering commitment to delivering comprehensive and dependable marine services.

Key Responsibilities:

Principal Quality Accountabilities:

1. Assist the Chief Accountant in all financial undertakings and dealings.
2. Maintain record books of accounts and subsidiaries, ensuring proper recapitulation.
3. Prepare trial balances and schedules for all expenses and subsidiaries.
4. Prepare schedules for expenses, vouchers, check and deposit slips, daily cash position reports, and payroll processing.
5. Ensure timely payments for all monthly remittances including BIR, SSS, and PAG-IBIG contributions.
6. Prepare and maintain records for accounting correspondences, billing, and receipts.
7. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Safety Accountabilities:

1. Ensure that all financial tasks as directed by the Chief Accountant are completed promptly, preventing delays in company services or supplies procurement.
2. Maintain effective record-keeping to support financial operations and compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Resides in or near Paco, Manila
