Job Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role involves a wide range of reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting duties that contribute to the company's overall financial health and compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting and Reconciliation

  • Monitor and reconcile prepayment accounts (e.g., rent, taxes, insurance).
  • Monitor and reconcile accruals such as association dues, rental, security, janitorial services, and agency-related expenses.
  • Reconcile government remittances and ensure timely filing and payment.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure records align with disbursements.
  • Identify and reconcile unrecorded disbursements or deposits during bank reconciliation.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Perform three-way matching of invoices, delivery receipts (DRs), and purchase orders (POs) for both trade and non-trade transactions.
  • Monitor and account for unliquidated advances to employees or suppliers.
  • Track and record manual check vouchers and journal vouchers (JVs).
  • Process and record Official Receipts (ORs) in the system for payment releases.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare monthly variance analysis on expenses to support management in decision-making.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities as required.

Other Duties

  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by management from time to time to support overall company goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in general accounting, audit, or a similar role (fresh graduates with strong internship experience may be considered).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
