The team is currently looking for a motivated & detail-oriented Junior Accountant to be based in Manila, Philippines. This role will be part of a team responsible for financial, tax, and management reporting for Barwon's real estate funds. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations while providing valuable financial insights to support business decisions.

ASW Global operates on a Hybrid model. This role requires you to work 3 days in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) and 2 days working from home, with a regular shift schedule of 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Manila time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly unit price and management accounts within agreed timelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements, including supporting working papers and liaising with auditors.
  • Support tax compliance, including tax calculations, forecasts and tax return preparation.
  • Process accruals, prepayments, and other journal entries.
  • Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an Accountant role, preferably within the real-estate sector.
  • CPA-qualified accountant preferred.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.
  • End-to-end accounting experience will be highly regarded.
  • Intermediate MS Excel experience: Pivot Table knowledge is a must.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate confidently with Australian stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and comfortable asking for help when needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to mix professionally and build effective relationships at all levels internally and externally.
