PAYROLL ASSISTANT
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Verification:
- Gathering and verifying employee timekeeping data (timesheets, attendance records, etc.).
- Maintaining accurate employee records, including payroll data, deductions, and benefits.
Payroll Calculations:
- Calculating wages, salaries, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws and tax regulations.
Payroll Processing:
- Processing payroll accurately and on time, including issuing paychecks or direct deposits.
- Preparing and distributing pay stubs and other payroll documents.
Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records.
- Preparing payroll reports for management and relevant departments.
Compliance and Support:
- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Addressing employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
- Resolving payroll discrepancies and errors.
Administrative Tasks:
- Processing new hires, terminations, and other employee status changes.
- Assisting with year-end payroll reporting and tax filings.
