About the Client

The client is building the first digital trading platform for green specialty coffee—bringing transparency, efficiency, and trust to a historically opaque market. By standardizing product classification, mapping coffees to pricing curves with proprietary methodology, ensuring traceability, streamlining logistics and payments, and reducing credit risk, we equip producers, exporters, importers, and roasters with the tools they need to trade with confidence.

We're building the industry's first digital trading platform for green specialty coffee—designed to bring transparency, efficiency, and trust to a historically opaque market. By rationalizing product classification, employing proprietary methodology for pricing curve construction, mapping product to pricing curves, ensuring product traceability, and streamlining logistics, payments, and mitigating credit risk for the parties, we empower both producers, exporters, importers and roasters with the tools they need to trade with confidence.

After extensive system design, development and testing over the past several months, we are targeting the formal Launch of our business for January 2026.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Quality Manager to join our team. Key responsibilities for this role will include:

  • Training Program Development: Working in close collaboration with internal and external Subject Matter Experts, create and update comprehensive training programs and resources to facilitate a smooth transition for new joiners and ongoing training for current team members
  • Content Creation and Curation: Synthesize specialized topics and technical content into targeted training material and resources, paying close attention to systems, markets and procedural changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Training & Development: Personally deliver training on company policies, systems, and job-specific materials, and offer ongoing support for skill development. Coordinate specialized training sessions with internal and external experts as needed
  • Needs Assessment: Ongoing feedback-oriented needs assessment of team members to identify areas of growth and development and deliver customized technical and soft skills training to enhance performance and productivity
  • New Hire Onboarding and Integration: Introduce new hires to the company's culture, vision, values, and their specific roles and teams
  • Expectation Setting: Work with managers to ensure clear expectations are set for team members regarding their duties and performance

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of Training and Quality Management experience.
  • Client facing skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English languageverbal and written communication to effectively interact with a global business and technology audience
  • Collaboration: Willingness and ability to work effectively with a diverse team, ability to build rapport and trust across different business areas
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to plan, schedule, and manage training content, activities and resources efficiently
  • Technology Skills: High level of proficiency with presentation and content creation software (MS Powerpoint, MS Visio/ Lucid, Canva) with a keen eye for consistency and aesthetics
  • Previous experience in training and development preferred
  • Previous experience in financial markets, digital marketplace, global operations and/or specialty coffee industry would be highly desirable

The initial priority will be to organize training sessions for new hires joining the Manila team in Q4 2025 and Q1 2026, to ensure that they have a comprehensive understanding of the systems and procedures to support the business Launch and subsequent rapid growth of our customer base. This training will leverage the extensive documentation on system flows and procedures developed by the systems team.
