About the role

As a full-time Mandarin Translator at Select Goods', you will play a crucial role in facilitating seamless communication between our organisation and our Mandarin-speaking partners and clients. Based in our Taguig City office, this is an exciting opportunity to utilise your exceptional language skills and cultural knowledge to contribute to the success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing accurate and timely translation of documents, emails, and other communications between English and Mandarin
  2. Interpreting during meetings and phone calls with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
  3. Ensuring the consistent use of terminology and style across all translated materials
  4. Liaising with teams across the organisation to understand context and requirements for translations
  5. Assisting with the localisation of marketing and promotional content for our Mandarin-speaking audience
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry terminology and best practices in translation

What we're looking for

  1. Fluency in both written and spoken Mandarin and English
  2. Minimum 2 years of professional translation experience, preferably in a business or commercial setting
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  4. Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
  5. Familiarity with translation software and computer-assisted translation tools
  6. Knowledge of local and regional cultural nuances and business practices
  7. Degree or certification in translation, linguistics, or a related field
