- Develop and recommend innovative ground improvement techniques and foundation solutions tailored to challenging marine environments.
- Prepare comprehensive, clear, and concise geotechnical design reports, documentation, and tender submissions.
- Collaborate closely with structural engineers, designers, and project managers to integrate geotechnical considerations into the overall project design and strategy.
- Provide technical guidance during construction, including reviewing pile testing programs (e.g., Static Load Testing, PDA), and troubleshooting geotechnical issues on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A minimum of 15 years' overall experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least 10 years focused on large-scale marine construction projects (e.g., bridges, tunnels, ports, offshore platforms).
- Proven track record of geotechnical design and analysis for deep foundations (driven piles, drilled shafts, caissons) in marine environments.
- Expert-level proficiency in geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, LPILE, GROUP, SLOPE/W, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience planning and managing marine geotechnical investigations.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering; a Master's or PhD is highly preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex geotechnical concepts to non-specialists and write detailed technical reports.
