Job Summary:

The Civil Engineer – Cost Estimation is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, project budgets, and technical assessments specifically for bore piling and foundation construction projects. The role involves analyzing project drawings, conducting site inspections, evaluating labor, material, and equipment costs, and preparing competitive proposals for clients. The engineer ensures that all cost-related activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQ, and cost breakdowns for bore piling and foundation projects.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine project scope.
  • Conduct price comparisons for suppliers, subcontractors, and equipment to optimize costs.
  • Provide budget forecasts and advise on cost-saving strategies.

Project Planning & Technical Evaluation

  • Review geotechnical reports and recommend suitable piling methods.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
  • Assess construction techniques, materials, and equipment suitability.

Tendering & Bidding Support

  • Prepare tender documents, cost proposals, and technical submissions.
  • Perform risk and feasibility assessments for accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for updated pricing.

Cost Control & Reporting

  • Monitor ongoing project costs and prepare variance reports.
  • Ensure estimates align with budgets and recommend adjustments when needed.
  • Assist in preparing progress claims, invoices, and change orders.

Coordination & Compliance

  • Collaborate with site teams, project managers, and subcontractors for cost data.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Stay updated on pricing trends, market rates, and piling technologies.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (PRC license and COSH required).
  • Experience: 3–5 years in cost estimation within bore piling, foundation, or geotechnical projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation tools (Candy, CostX, Planswift, etc.); knowledge of geotechnical and foundation principles; MS Project
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; detail-oriented; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
