Manila, National Capital Region, Philippines Golden Ocean Construction Services Inc. Full time ₱300,000 - ₱400,000 per year

Civil Engineering Duties:

  • Supervise and manage all on-site civil construction activities, especially those related to foundation works like bore piling and jet grouting.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and schedules for proper execution of civil works.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure design and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor materials, equipment, and manpower to ensure timely and cost-effective construction.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to site progress, materials used, and challenges faced.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure structural and geotechnical work is in compliance with approved plans and safety standards.

2. Bore Piling and Jet Grouting Expert Duties:

  • Lead the design, planning, and execution of bore piling, rotary piling, CFA piling, and jet grouting operations.
  • Conduct soil investigations and interpret geotechnical reports to determine appropriate foundation solutions.
  • Monitor grouting pressure, flow rate, mix design, and quality control parameters during jet grouting operations.
  • Ensure alignment, verticality, and load-bearing capacity of piles.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ground conditions, equipment, or execution method.
  • Work closely with geotechnical engineers for performance assessment and pile integrity testing (PIT, PDA, etc.).

3. Safety Officer Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures in line with local and international safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor site activities to ensure all personnel follow established safety protocols, especially during high-risk operations like piling and grouting.
  • Investigate and report any incidents, near-misses, or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure that all site workers have necessary safety training and valid certifications (e.g., for confined spaces, working at heights, equipment operation).
  • Maintain proper documentation related to safety compliance and permits to work (PTW).

4. Coordination and Reporting:

  • Coordinate between project management, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical inputs regarding deep foundation and safety aspects.
  • Maintain records of inspections, test results, permits, and safety drills.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding safety regulations, inspections, and environmental compliance.

5. Compliance and Quality Control:

  • Ensure that all construction work complies with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning of foundation elements.
  • Monitor usage and storage of hazardous substances and ensure environmental protection measures are followed.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (License Civil Engr).
  • Certifications in safety (COSH).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in piling, jet grouting, or other deep foundation works.
  • In-depth knowledge of geotechnical engineering, ground improvement techniques, and HSE practices.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural and geotechnical drawings and specifications.
