Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Compliance Officer for Privacy
to champion and implement
Privacy by Design and by Default
principles across the organization. This role ensures that privacy and data protection are embedded into all business processes, systems, and projects, while aligning with global privacy regulations. The Compliance Officer will serve as a subject matter expert, working closely with cross-functional teams to strengthen the organization's privacy framework and compliance posture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, information security, or related functions.
  • Strong knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, Data Privacy Act, CCPA).
  • Hands-on experience in implementing Privacy by Design within telecommunications or technology industries is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to conduct PIAs and DPIAs, with strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Privacy Governance & Framework

  • Champion and implement
    Privacy by Design and by Default
    across systems, applications, and business processes.
  • Continuously assess, update, and improve the organization's privacy framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with
    global privacy laws and regulations
    (e.g., GDPR, local data protection laws).

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with
    Information Security, Legal, IT, and Cybersecurity teams
    to integrate privacy requirements into projects and business operations.
  • Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on privacy and data protection matters.
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert on privacy risks and best practices.

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Conduct
    Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs)
    and
    Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs)
    for new projects, product development, and system changes.
  • Identify potential privacy risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Ensure privacy controls are embedded in line with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

Training & Awareness

  • Drive a culture of data protection across the organization through training and awareness initiatives.
  • Educate staff on privacy principles, responsibilities, and best practices.
