Key Responsibilities:

  • Driver Monitoring:

  • Monitor trailer driver schedules, location, and activity.

  • Ensure drivers adhere to assigned routes and delivery schedules.
  • Track driver check-in/check-out times at piers and client sites.

  • Trip Slip Management:

  • Prepare and issue trip slips for each transport assignment.

  • Record and maintain documentation of material pickup and delivery (fillet and scrap metal).
  • Verify trip slip completion with signatures from pier authorities and client representatives.

  • Operational Coordination:

  • Liaise with pier operators and client sites to coordinate loading/unloading times.

  • Update dispatch systems or logs with movement records of each trailer.
  • Report any delays, accidents, or discrepancies in deliveries to the Operations Manager.

  • Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure all transport documents are accurate and in compliance with company policies.

  • Maintain records of materials moved, including quantity and type (fillet, scrap).
  • Assist with audits and reports when needed.

  • Safety & Efficiency:

  • Monitor site conditions and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

  • Provide instructions or guidance to drivers to improve route efficiency and safety.
  • Report any unsafe behavior or equipment issues.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in logistics, dispatch, or transport coordination.
  • Experience in the steel or heavy material transport industry preferred.
