Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a Finance-related course (Accountancy, Business Management etc.)
  • Certified Public Accountant is a plus

Experience

  • 1-3 years related experience in audit, accounting, tax and/or bookkeeping function
  • Experience in rail or transport industry is a plus

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate requests for billing and other documents submitted by other departments evidencing financial transaction.  Handling of financial transactions shall be assigned based on account balances and may be various forms, including but not limited to:  contracts, security deposit, accruals etc.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to ensure proper understanding and validity of documents evidencing financial transactions.  This includes consistent application and compliance with accounting-related policies and procedures and emphasizing the same to other departments.

  • Recognizes financial transactions based on the substance and nature of the underlying documents, including any tax effects.  The recognition should be in a manner that is accurate, timely and compliant with the related accounting policies, standards and principles.
