Our client is a fast-growing e-commerce company with around 200 employees in the Philippines. With strong regional presence and leadership based in Singapore and Malaysia, the company continues to scale its operations to deliver innovative, customer-centric digital retail experiences.

To support this growth, we are seeking a strategic and hands-on
Finance Director
who will oversee the financial health of the Philippine operations, drive fiscal discipline, and serve as a trusted business partner to both local and regional leadership teams.

About the Role

The
Finance Director
will play a pivotal role in leading all financial and accounting functions of the Philippine entity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. This role will collaborate closely with the CEO (Philippines) and the regional finance teams in Singapore and Malaysia to align local financial strategies with the group's regional and global objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Partner with the CEO (Philippines) and regional finance heads to define and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's growth and profitability targets.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support executive decision-making and long-term strategic planning.
  • Support business expansion, pricing strategy, and investment planning through strong financial modeling and scenario analysis.

Financial Operations & Control

  • Lead end-to-end financial operations including accounting, FP&A, treasury, and controllership for the Philippine entity.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS) and IFRS.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and governance frameworks to safeguard company assets.
  • Coordinate annual audits, statutory filings, and tax compliance in line with BIR and other regulatory requirements.

Budgeting & Performance Management

  • Oversee the annual budgeting process, monthly forecast updates, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and KPIs to monitor performance and guide management actions.
  • Drive cost optimization and margin improvement initiatives across the organization.

Regional Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary finance contact for regional stakeholders in Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Consolidate local financial performance reports and align with regional consolidation requirements.
  • Ensure consistent financial processes, reporting formats, and compliance standards across regional entities.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the local finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Strengthen cross-functional partnerships with Operations, HR, and Commercial teams to support overall business goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline;
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
    strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of
    10–12 years
    of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least
    5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role
    .
  • Solid background in
    e-commerce, retail, or fast-scaling digital organizations
    preferred.
  • Proven expertise in financial planning, management reporting, taxation, and compliance in the
    Philippine regulatory landscape
    .
  • Experience working in
    regional or matrix structures
    (reporting to APAC or group HQs) is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel/financial modeling capabilities.
