Job Summary

Responsible in the evaluation of patients' capacity to pay for their requested services from the hospital. Monitor and reconcile collection vs Accounts Receivables, update reports, and perform in-house collection.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Screens and evaluates patients' financial capacity to pay
  • Conducts patient/guardian interviews to gather financial information
  • Refers eligible patients to Medical Social Workers for financial assistance
  • Collaborates with hospital departments, including Finance and Patient Experience.
  • Provides estimated cost of services to patients
  • Assists patients with promissory notes and ensures compliance with payment policies
  • Records and process payment of professional fees from HMO and Philhealth
  • Assist in following up on unsettled patient accounts
  • Responds to internal/external inquiries and maintains patient confidentiality
  • Monitor collection, reconcile with receivables and prepare accurate reports
  • May be asked to assist in following up patients with unsettled accounts
  • Responds to internal and external customer queries accurately with respect and maintains confidentiality of patient information at all times
  • Generates accurate reports efficiently
  • Other duties that may be assigned or other ad hoc tasks and projects that may be assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of any 4-year course, preferably business-related
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Loan Assistant/Officer in a reputable bank
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Complaints resolution skills with a high sense of urgency
  • Computer literate – MS Office and preferably SAP and HIS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php23,000.00 per month
