Head of Network Development

JOB PURPOSE:

The position shall be responsible for supporting growth targets of Generika through accelerated store network expansion strategies.

JOB FUNCTION:

● Implement store expansion strategies.

● Assess viability of sites through sound business intelligence and analytics. Determines the right business model for proposed site location.

● Manage store network development process with the end in mind of achieving cluster location leadership.

● Oversee lease management which include lease renewal contracts and review of lease terms and conditions.

● Build and coordinate third party real estate consultants.

● Prepares accurate site forecasts and proposes the right business model.

● Effectively manages site acquisition process to ensure on time and efficient site turnover.

● Responsible for overseeing and effectively negotiating lease renewals, rental agreements, and harmonious lessor relationship management

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

● Education and work experience:

o Bachelors of Business Administration, Business or equivalent is relevant for this role

o At least 5 years of relevant experience preferably in the food or drug retail industry.

o Excellent knowledge of the real estate market and retail competition.

o Well versed in working with Profit and Loss.

o Strong networking and negotiation skills.

● Competencies:

o Proven knowledge of information analysis

o Hands on experience data collection analysis

o Applies logic to solve problems and get the job done.

o Proficient in using accounting software, preferably SAP, MS Office applications and business intelligence tools

o Skilled at both oral and written communication that can influence others. Uses effectual examples and visual aids that have an impact on the audience.

o Ability to obtain information from several sources to address present needs.

o Has personal and professional ethics and fosters a diverse and respectful workplace.

o Can enlist the support and cooperation of others and encourage them to be proactive.

o Ability to respond to the clients and anticipate their needs.

o Achieves goals in a timely manner while providing excellent client service.
