
Business Development Head

Works to create relationships with customers or users of company services in order to align them to our particular product/service. He/She implements the Business Development Strategy and Plan.
- Sets the strategic direction for the nationwide sales team and formalizes how the sales team influences customers with our services and products. This includes ensuring the method used to contact prospective clients or customers is effective and cost-efficient for producing long term clients or customers.
- Finds and attracts new profitable Corporate businesses
- Expands existing contracts and existing business relationships
- Focuses on clients with profit potential
- Oversees the business / account renewal
He/She will create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel toward the achievement of the corporate sales objectives as embodied in the Business Development Plan. He/She will monitor consumer trends at the national level and advise his regional managers on how to improve their performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proactively seek out business opportunities nationwide and work towards achieving agreed business targets
- Drive the Delbros brand, profile and proposition in line with market participation strategy.
- Create, implement and manage expansive and commercial sales strategy and management plan that delivers the growth targets.
- Establish and maintain account relationships and meet sales targets as agreed with Senior Director.
- Establish and build strong client relationships, delivering high-touch relationship management to all accounts.
- Ensure that all sales activities are completed in a compliant way, ensuring that the relevant governing bodies' protocols are fulfilled.
- Review and approve pricing schemes in each region and make the necessary adjustments depending on market trends; Ensures consistent implementation of approved pricing across regions.
- Ensure outstanding representation and preparation in all client meetings.
- Maintain and develop growth-oriented relationships with Clients, representing Delbros' interests and building mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Develop competencies and processes required to create an effective and efficient sales organization.
- Drive consistency in strategies, process and policies implementation nationwide
- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
- Provide sales management, budget control, and incentive planning.
- Proactively identify changes in chassis industry, delivery systems, and competitive pressures to develop and modify strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and drive the Sales Team to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
- Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Finance, Credit and Collection, Operations, etc.) to address key business issues and opportunities.
- Maintain competitive knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies.
- He/she may be assigned to a different yard/office if/when the need arises.
- Whenever Management establishes the need, there will be work on Saturdays.
- Complies with the Master Operating Procedures (MOPs) at all times.
- Read/ Understand and be aware of all MOPs and Work Instructions which are available online in the Library of MOP's in your department, so that you are able to comply with best practice.
Performs other tasks as may be required and as deemed necessary by the immediate superior.
QUALIFICATIONS
With at least 5-7 years experience in sales, marketing, business development and customer-service
- Graduate of any business-related course
- Willing to travel
- Resourceful, Innovative,persuasive and excellent in building client network
- With good communication and presentation skills
- Strong managerial skills.
